InventoryByHand

Privacy

We do not collect your inventory data. It never reaches us. That is not a promise layered over a system that sends your list somewhere — the app runs on your device, and there is nowhere in it for your list to be sent.

How the app handles your information

Your items, your photos, your prices, and your notes are stored on your own phone or computer, in the app's own storage on that device. Nothing about your home, your belongings, or your family is uploaded to us or to anyone else by the app. There are no accounts, so there is no name, email, or password for the app itself, and no profile of you is built anywhere.

The exports you make — the spreadsheet file, the photos, and the printed report — are made on your device and go only where you send them: your email, your cloud storage, your files, or a person you choose. Where you keep those copies is your decision, and the guide pages on this site suggest keeping at least one copy outside your home.

Check it yourself

Install the app, turn off your internet connection, and use it. Adding items, photographing rooms, scanning, and exporting all work with no connection at all, because the work is done on your device. A tool that needed to send your list somewhere could not do that.

The site itself

The ordinary pages of this site are just pages: you can read every guide and use the free template without giving us any information at all. Buying the app is handled by the payment provider at checkout; your inventory is never part of that, and no inventory data is attached to a purchase.
